You Can't Learn To Program From A Book
Like learning to ride a bike, the only way to learn to program is to program. This book will help speed up the process, but you will have to suffer and enjoy your way through getting your programs done. There are no shortcuts. Just like falling off of your bike teaches you how to ride, writing programs teaches you how to write programs. I would suggest you find a project you want to automate and work on it until you complete it. Just start small and build upon this. This book will use this exact technique to help you learn.
