Save a phone
number
To save a phone number for retrieval:
Enter: <name> phone number is <number>
Where:
- <name> is the person's name
- <number> is their phone number
Example:
- Scott's phone number is 1234
- John Doe's phone number is 516 123 4567

To retrieve a phone number
Enter: PH <name>
Where:
- "PH" is shortcut for phone number
- <name> is name of person to look
up

- PH Joe -- retrieves Joe's number in the
caption
- PH bob -- retrieves bob's number

Minimizing
Logger
To minimize Logger and all Logger windows
you can press the (Esc) key

Restoring Logger
To restore Logger:
- Click it from the task bar
- Use Alt+Tab until you hit the Logger icon
and then let go of Alt+Tab

Get data from
Logger to another program
You can copy data from Logger to the clipboard
by pressing Ctrl+C after highlighting an item and then use Ctrl+V
to paste in the data.

Copy the data from the other program by
highlighting it and pressing Ctrl+C and then go to Logger and
press Ctrl+V.

Log data
Saves information you enter to the Logger
window with a date and time stamp. Anything you entered will be
saved. Save any information here you want to be able to quickly
retrieve. This Log can be used for the following:
- Saving websites and passwords
- Recording what you're working on for time
tracking or status reports
- Keeping an investing diary
- Saving ideas you may have
- If you're a manager, tracking your employees
performance for performance reviews
- If you're a developer saving software
routines
- Saving procedures
- If you test, saving bugs you find
- Saving how you solved a specific problem.
When saving data, it's useful to use a format
that will make it easy to retrieve, below are suggestions of what
you can use, but you can use whatever method you want:
- psw, <site>/<password>
- tt, <task you're working on>
- id, <entry into your investing diary>
- idea, <an idea you have>
- <employee name>, <description
of what they've done>
- routine, <keywords>,<source code>
- <procedure name>, <procedure
text>

Find data
- Enter: Find <search> or F
<search>
- where <search> is the data you are
searching for
- Use the Log to find data
- Enter: EL (Edit Log)
- Press (Find) button
- enter text to search for

Run the Stop
Watch
Stop Watch is only available to registered
users. To register enter "GR" or go to Help - "Get
Registration #"
- Enter: SW
- Select: "Tools" - "Stop
Watch" from the Menu

Run the Egg
Timer
Egg Time is only available to registered
users. To register enter "GR" or go to Help - "Get
Registration #"
- Enter: ET
- Select "Tools" - "Egg Timer"
from the Menu
- Enter ET <n> - where <n>
is the number of minutes to run the Egg Timer for
- Example:
- ET 5 -
runs the Egg timer for 5 minutes
- ET 1.5
-runs Egg Timer for 1 minute and 30 seconds

Why does Logger
window turn Blue?
When Logger executes a command like starting
a web page, the Logger window is unavailable until your browser
starts the web page. During this time the background of the window
is blue. This means that Logger is waiting for your windows system
to finish a command it requested.
